The Skylon ID6.2 Pin Insert is a precisely manufactured nock adapter designed for the secure and centered installation of pin nocks on arrow shafts with a 6.2 mm internal diameter. Its accurate construction ensures a stable connection between the arrow shaft and pin nock.

In addition to providing a reliable mounting point for the nock, the Skylon ID6.2 Pin Insert also helps protect the sensitive rear end of the carbon shaft. In the event of a direct rear impact, part of the impact energy can be absorbed by the durable pin, reducing the risk of cracks, shaft damage or the so-called Robin Hood effect.

For an optimal fit, the Skylon ID6.2 Pin Insert is available in two different versions. These variants are matched to the corresponding spine values, shaft wall thicknesses and external shaft diameters.

Selecting the correct version ensures that the insert fits cleanly inside the shaft and that the adhesive is distributed evenly. This creates a strong and durable connection.

Available in two versions:

Spine 350–400:
Optimized for stiffer arrow shafts with the corresponding wall thickness.

Spine 500–700:
Designed for arrow shafts with spine values of 500, 600 and 700.

The Skylon ID6.2 Pin Insert is installed by gluing it into the rear end of the shaft. Depending on the manufacturer’s recommendation, suitable hot-melt adhesive or a specialized cyanoacrylate adhesive can be used. The shaft and insert should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased before installation to ensure a secure bond.
