The Griffin® Vanes are truly a revolutionary vanes! The Bohning Griffin Vanes are Bohning's first vanes designed exclusively for Olympic recurve archers.
The Griffin Vanes offer all the performance advantages of a Mylar (SpinWing) vanes without the disadvantages!
The twisted ribbon design of the Bohning Griffin Vane supports instant arrow rotation and the minimal surface area resulting from the cut-out profile provides a stable and accurate flight in variable, constant and windless weather scenarios.
With a weight of only approx. 1.2 grains per Bohning Griffin Vane, the Griffin Vane is made of extremely durable, robust and non-deforming wing material. This makes the Bohning Griffin Vane much more robust than a standard SpinWing and eliminates the need for frequent re-feathering.
The Griffin Vane has a straight base that can be fletched onto the arrow shaft using a standard fletching device with normal feather glue or adhesive tape.
To avoid damaging the Bohning Griffin Vane when gluing it to the arrow shaft, two vane adapters are included with the Griffin Vanes.
As with all Bohning vanes, the Griffin Vanes are a breeze to fit and the grip on the arrow shaft is excellent.

Bohning spent 3 years researching and testing the development of the Griffin Vane and when Bohning first decided to produce a vanes for the Olympic recurve, Bohning had three goals in mind.
1. the Griffin Vane had to perform as well or better than a Mylar Vane (SpinWing)
2. the Griffin Vane had to be much more durable than a SpinWing
3. the Griffin Vane had to be easier to feather
Bohning engineers teamed up with an aerospace company to create a digital rendering and perform computer-based simulations.
The simulated results easily achieved all three goals set.
The next step was to produce prototypes of the Griffin Vane - as it is not a typical vane shape, this required a completely new production setup.
Over 100 first-class shooters were involved in testing the Bohning Griffin Vane in order to further optimize the choice of materials for the Griffin Vanes.
The result is the extremely powerful, robust and globally patented Bohning Griffin Vane.
The Bohning Griffin Vanes are ideal for both left-handed and right-handed shooters.
