Material: V2A stainless steel.
Thread: 5/16 inch UNF (fits all common recurve risers in the stabilizer thread)
Weights are attached to the barebow to provide some stabilization upon launch.
This compensation is of a technical nature. The weight prevents the bow from tipping over to the shooter after the shot has been released,
but remains in a stable, upright position. For bare sheets,
unlike the Olympic recurve bow, the center of gravity is behind the pressure point of the hand,
so that these bows tend to tip backwards without additional weights.
The bare bow weights are made of stainless steel (i.e. the weights that are not painted black have the Archery Attack logo lasered into the front of the weight).
Rules:
"The bare bow is a bow class in archery.
These are Olympic recurve bows without visor and without stabilizers,
which are strictly forbidden in this bow class. Only the attachment of weights is permitted.
The rule to be observed is that the relaxed bare bow including attached additional weights
can still be pushed through a ring with a diameter of 12.2 cm (+- 1mm). The weights are allowed
not be angled, but must be perpendicular to the arc. On weight are not allowed
Vibration dampers made of rubber or soft plastic can be fitted."
Important:
The delivered blank sheet weights may deviate from the weights shown.
